Editors note: The Opinions in this blog are sponsored by Hyundai
Earlier in Class this week we did many super happy fun fun things, such as talk about economics, take quizzes, sit in desks, and listen to Joey. Oh wait, that is every week. Well during this week in particular we did more with the Weserville dollar like balance a checkbook. I sense sometime in the future we will have to do a very large purchase. I for one, think it will have to be a car. If so, I will have to go with the Hyundai Elantra, comfortable, stylish, and affordable! Besides that we talked about insurance. My group did car insurance. What is car insurance you may ask? Lets say you are driving the sporty 2014 Hyundai Genesis and a man who is so awed by the style of your car is blinded by its glory and rear ends you. There is no need to fear! Car insurance will help you pay the damages, so you can hear the sound of that glorious V-8 sooner. That's car insurance folks. I'll be seeing you next week.
The Weekly Pondering

You are now reading the blog post that is always fashionably late, its the weekly pondering. So this week in Weserville we did more projects involving the Weserville cash. We bought cell phones, which makes me realize just how overpriced they are. If you didn't get a plan and instead went month to month, a Samsung Convoy flip phone cost $200. You could get a used iphone for half that. Additionally, we learned about banks and credit unions and the types of accounts you can have. Money market accounts are interesting in they have a much higher interest rate but are very limited when it comes to spending and making deposits.
Well, I gotta go. Ray is making fun of me for doing work. I need to report him to the anti bullying advocate. :(

From One Red Paperclip to a full sized blog post...
During this week in finance we did many things including learning about economies in developing countries, particularly the ones we researched. (I'm showing my Djiboutian pride people!) Also we were assigned a project to trade a red paperclip and see what item we can get by monday! I am so totally gonna win! :D

Due to a ray of disturbance during the voting process, Weserville did not get a Walmart. I am sad. Anyways, this week in Econ we learned about inflation and the GDP of a country, what they mean, and how they are calculated. We also looked at 10 different countries and their economies. Russia sure has their act together when it comes to their national debt! Besides that, thank heavens its Friday.

Wally World!
This Week in the always fantabulous personal economics class, Wal-mart wants to come to Weserville! Is this a good or bad thing? We will need to wait and see. Of course though, Weserville will want the store to set up shop here, right Joey? Additionally, we watched the movie "When Wal-Mart Comes to Town." This movie takes place in Ashland, Virginia. Wal-mart did set up shop there, and I expect to see it come to Weserville.
Have a wonderfully acceptable day~

Quizzes, tests, and midterms oh my!
This week in understanding the science of moolah, Weserville got flooded and we learned how a sudden drop in resources can cause a massive spike in prices, even for tomatoes. Additionally that day off was nice, but those surprise quizzes weren't! Even though I did well a quiz is a quiz. Also, next week is midterms. Lets now do some math. If a quiz brings the reaction of panic to kids while taking it, and the midterm is a quiz squared, that would mean the reaction during the midterm would be panic squared, which equals terror. I guess that is why its so close to Halloween. Anyways, as the (insert any adjective describing him here) Joey Link said, keep it classy.

This week in finance we worked a lot on our advertising projects. I made a fantabulous radio ad which is superior to everything. We also had a surprise quiz which, of course, I swell on. We also studied elasticity of demand and did a few formulas about it. As Joey link always says, Stay Classy people.
